Need help about lost warbirds

Mon Aug 29, 2005 6:42 am

Hi there,

Friend of mine is working on the book about aircraft losses in the former Yugoslavia since beginning of flying in the area until today. Among losses of civilian/military aircraft with native pilots/crews he also wants to incorporate foreign losses over same area.

For now he had something from following links but need more information than is published there. He is especially interested in Allied (B-17, B-24, Spitfire…) and Axis (Bf109 and other) losses in the area during 2nd WW.

Best regards
JeT

Suggest to your friend, to try the Small Air Forces Clearinghouse (SAFCH) which is a quarterly published by Jim Sanders in California.

They have covered Yugoslavian aircraft and pilots
for a long time, and I am sure they have a dedicated group interested in the subject, who could be of great assistance to his project.

Good luck!

I Agree with Don Tulio Soto (DTS) SAFCH has been covering that part of the world since c. 1986. Salvatrucha619.
