If you're coming down form Teaneck, I am guessing you are going to take the GSP- Get off onto I-195, and head East, exit onto Rt. 537- About exit 17 or so(It is well marked for Great Adventure) Make a left onto 537 East, and follow past McDonalds, Super WAWA, etc, and pass under the park entrance overpass. 537 goes down to two lanes, and Jersey barier disappears. The service entrance is just beyond it on the left, and the F-104 is just beyond that(also on left)- about 50 yards or so in. I spotted it easily form the road. There is a house between the service entrance & the F-104. They are not right on top of each other, but within 500 feet or so IIRC.

good luck with it- Let us know the climate of talks!

I created a location dossier for this one...
ImageAerial Visuals - Location Dossier - Six Flags - F-104

Is there marker in the right spot? If it should be moved just right click on the map to get the coordinates of where it should go. Just copy and past the text here. Thanks in advance.

That seems to be about where I saw it sitting: Can't guarantee, but about that position: Please let me know how close I came to actual! I found it on photo by going to www.realtor.com, finding a listing in the area, and then going along 537W until I got into the area: Put the pic into "Bird's Eye View, and then rotated. They had good fall pics- lots less foliage!
http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/Monmouth-Rd_Jackson_NJ_08527_M57938-18018 I also found it on bing.com maps, and it gives the address as 629 Monmouth Rd. VERY VISIBLE on the Bing Maps...Put it into "Birds Eye View", and do a map search for 629 Monmouth Rd, Jackson, NJ, then zoom all the way in.

Again as per an email from the Col.
Six Flags are the one's who own all of the F-104s as I stated in an early post Steve Alex build them up for Six Flags the NJ plane was sent to Holland as a Spare parts plane and was part of the package that Steve got when he purchase the last remaining Dutch 104s.

My understanding is that you can have it for around 50K, as for the spar it was never cut I got a chance to look at all of the airframes when they were in storage in Bangor.

Thanks Scott. I assume Six Flags would not like people showing up and walking around looking for it. Is it possible to see it from Route 537? If so I can place a marker there and adding a comment. I assume the first post in this thread would confirm it can be seen from the 537. You can access the street view via on the map via my link above, and the forrest looks fairly think so it may not be possible to see it from there. I guess what I am looking for is a confirmation that it is either accessible to the public (I doubt it), or it is in view from a public vantage point.

Very Easily Seen from the road and Accessible! No fence- nothing but undergrowth... If you go to Bing maps you can find it easily, and see right where it is- just follow my directions you quoted...

I think he means graffitied. What is baffling is why the workers would hassle enthusiasts, but not the aforementioned 'graffiti artists'?

Must be awful small pumps to fit under the wingspan of a Starfighter!...

the 21 ft wing is perfect. i have a single row of pumps. and its 25 ft between building and side walk. Its a old school restored 1940s style gas station and shop.I actually measured today. :) the town is tough though. they dont allow ANYTHING.

sorry, my spelling isn't so great. i think it's more of a general desire to keep people away from the bird given what's happened. a couple of local museums have tried to get her but no success so far.

I live in Jackson! Talk about random stuff in your own backyard. I have been trying to get it out of there for years. My father talked to his friend (the "guy in charge" of such things at the park) and got no other info other then they have no intention of parting with it. They bulldozed it into the woods by the nose collapsing a main gear leg and destroying the nose cone and area just forward he cockpit. Wings are off it. Parts of the fuesalage have sheet steel patch work to cover up missing or lost panels. It's in bad shape. The sn I got off it is the same as the prang plane stored in DM and old pics of it there show it missing the same panels that are now patched. It also was used in a dyno adventure (paint job has some sort of dynasaur) and as a fright fest prop.
