I am looking for someone that can help me with a website. Looking to update it. I have basic HTML skills and have the inner website passwords. Looking for a willing person that can help me out. :)

email me or pm me here at warhawknm@yahoo.com

Would really appreciate someone taking some time to help me. Its been a website void of updates for 4 years now. :( Updates and a facelift required.

Thanks,
Nathan :)

I know a little - I routinely post my own (very simple) personal web pages, anyway. If this helps, PM me or reply here to send an email.

I use Microsoft Expression 3 to edit and upload anything I do. It's a great tool, although not necessarily the best way to do it, it does work great if you are like me and haven't done css/html by hand in years.

Also if it is a blog type site give squarespace.com a try. They let you build and try for 2 weeks free with no credit card needed to try. (Great for photographers btw.)

I'm still using MS Front Page 2000 to create and edit, then WS_FTP to upload. Works fine for me. I echo RSpivey: 'not necessarily the best way to do it, it does work great if you are like me and haven't done css/html by hand in years.' Except I don't know what 'css' is..... :?

Heck, I am still soldiering along with Netscape Composer!

My youngest daughter really likes Wordpress. Another WYSIWYG editor is Kompozer. Bothe appeal as they are free. They also help with CSS. Wordpress can be used with Lightbox, not sure about Kompozer. My son in law is quite proficient in HTML code, but I am next to clueless so the easier the editor the better.

Wordpress is the Bomb! So many plug-ins and it is easy to use. You might want to look into that platform to do some of your website in. It is far more than a blogging platform. I use it on my site (tailhookstudio.com) for the blogging section, The rest I used DreamWeaver to create.

When I first learned how to publish web pages, creating wasn't the problem - seems anyone who can handle a word processor like MS Word or WordPerfect can take off with a WYSIWYG editor program and hardly miss a beat. Learning how to upload the results from my computer to a web server was my big hurdle. (Hint: navigating web servers is just like navigating your own hard drive, just instead of "c:\" it's "www", etc.)

As I said, I use WS_FTP for uploading. What do y'all use?

I was still wondering what CSS is when I remembered there's such a thing as Google. Okay, got just an idea now, but don't have time to study, so a quick question, if I may: Is CSS worth looking into for a guy like me who's happy using a WYSIWYG editor (Front Page) for simple "home pages"? Or is there more to it, and I oughta make time to look into it a little deeper?

If you want to build a site from scratch i recommend squarespace (http://squarespace.com/twit) They have a great WYSIWIG editing tool set and you can try completely free. You can also data import/export from many blog sites if you have that type of website. There is just no need to code by hand anymore. Other than that, for uploading Frontpage/Expression has a built in uploader as does Dreamweaver.

This is to update the us-aircraft.com website. I am not the owner. Just a good friend and he is letting me take care of it. I have the inner passwords for us-aircraft. I have frontpage 2000 but still haven't really mastered it yet. Frontpage was used making the site and the owner wants me not to use anything else. Anyhoo, looking for a partner that would like to keep it going with me and update the site. I want to update the site and make a new layout of the site. Its old and outdated and needs a facelift.

Pms on the way,
Nate
