Here's the best one I have, but unfortunately it was taken 20 years ago. She was fresh out of restoration and Glenn Lamont was "barnstorming" her around the midwest selling rides. The view from the nose is incredible!

This is a scan of a print. If you want, I can see if I can dig up the neg and make a higher-res scan.

Steve thanks man! I don't want you to go through all the trouble digging out a neg. if you don't mind I can lift it from here and see what it looks like. It looks like this would be quite a good photo. Thank you.

Oh, I should probably add that the photo was taken at W.K. Kellogg Airport in Battle Creek, Michigan, sometime in late October 1990.

Interestingly, I'm told the aircraft actually sat abandoned on the same ramp for some 14 years before being purchased by Lamont in the mid 70s. It was apparently bought cheap surplus by someone intending to use it for cargo, but the project never got off the ground and the plane was left to the elements (supposedly she deteriorated so badly that one of the ailerons actually fell off.) You can see the plane in a large aerial photo of the airport taken sometime in the 60s or early 70s that's hanging in the terminal building. Lamont got the plane into ferryable shape, and flew her to his hangar at Detroit City Airport where he spent the next 15 years or so restoring her.

Great information on the airframe Steve, I also appreciate the location of the shot. Looks like maybe Lady Luck (6578D)will loose her flight controls too before someone actually "saves" her again
