I went out to Buckeye Az yesterday to photograph some of Hans Lauridsens planes that are parked there. Without knowing any of the details since Matt Gunsch no longer works for him, it looks like they are being worked on but I don't know by who or to what degree. I know that they started off fast and furious when he first bought them but...... I hope he is able to get them flying again and get his museum like he wanted.

I believe it is still owned by Don Underwood.

They supposedly have a museum under construction at Gila Bend airport. I was told by Hans Lauridsen's daughter a couple of months ago that they "hoped to be open in April."

Sad for the planes, all were in much much better shape when I was taking care of them. The DC-3 has a leather interior and was in very good shape when we flew it in from Florida. The C-1A needed some basic maint and a little corrosion clean up, but Hans insisted on stripping the paint, as he did with the DC-3, PBY.
