Good question.

I know I have/had more but I don't know where they are. Possibly junked as they were pretty bad, even worse than these. This was long before the digital age so these are K25 scans. Heaven knows what the exposure was that day, 1/60th at f2.5 or something equally abysmal and I tried as best I could to munge them in Photoshop but obviously overcooked a couple. If I find any more I'll post them but I doubt N3FY is among them as I know I have some much better shots of it elsewhere.

Ahhh, the great SALAIR.

Used to drool over those guys up a SeaTac as a kid in the mid 80s. I'd ride my bike up to the cargo road just to watch the Flying Tigers 747s and the SALAIR DC-3s.

When I worked for Alaska, Salair was still using Sea-Tac. Every time they taxied in or out I was checking N numbers for N3FY! What a great time and great experience to be apart of ASA and Expo 86'!

After being a minor TV and Movies star 'several episodes of McJiver and flying Rocky to Russia in Rocky five.........thousand, N3FY ended her life trying to make a dirt strip in Central America in crappy weather.
The Salerno Bros. were fun guys, in the early days hauling fish in Alaska, they used the roof of their car as a maintenance stand to do oil changes. 'can you describe the car mam?' "I could but it makes me nauseous".

By the way, the cockpit is pretty draft free in flight even with the overhead escape panel removed, it was fun watching long haired womens hair snake up and out the hatch in flight.

Great pics! Thanks for posting CF-NWU, it was #2 in the formation and piloted by Captain Peter Sosnowski and F/O Guenther Golchert. It was an executive configured DC-3 with the -94 engines that we used to fly the court party around the Canadian arctic in, along with the usual RCMP officers.
Unfortunately it was destroyed by hurricane Andrew in Florida after being sold to private interests. I never did have a good photo of 'useless' till now. One of my old mounts!
