Never a dull moment on the deck. The kids used to think we were crazy when we told them to keep their head on a swivel or hated us for chewing them out for having their "head up and locked". This is an outstanding example of that anything can and will happen at Flight Quarters.
VMFAT-101, I believe is the F/A-18 training squadron on the left coast for the Marines, so having "nuggets" on deck and in the pattern, was a time for a higher state of alertness. Hope all the kids are doing well and get back out on deck soon.
