Here is the initial trailer of the F-100F roll-out that we did at the end of March with George "Bud" Day. There is going to be a longer video put out, but it will take a while to get it all put together.

Video looks great, but I wanted to let you know that the word 'Sacrifice' at the 25-second mark is spelled incorrectly.

There is another misspelled word before that as well. We have let the editor know, and he is making the change. He put it together in about a weeks time, so I suspect the proof-reading time was cut a bit shorter than normal.

Glad they're on it. I hope I wasn't sounding too picky, but I do a decent bit of editing/proofreading as part of my gig, so I was sure you'd rather know than not...

I also noticed that at the rollout, when Colonel Day lifts his right arm and points to someone at the 2:38 mark, that his motion is very similar to John McCain's, which I took as the result of the torture he endured (as I know it is for Senator McCain). Moving as hell as a reminder of what those men went through once they were captured.

If you want a pretty good description of what they went through, I suggest reading "American Patriot: The life and wars of Colonel Bud Day". It describes in there the reasons that a lot of the guys who went through it can no longer lift their arms above their shoulders.

I had a wing commander (Col. Norman McDaniel, a great, modest guy) who spent 6 years there...IIRC, he had those issues.


I'm sure some on this forum (who see the Americans as the bad guys in Vietnam) will see that as coincidence...
