keep cool the fighter will be flown for the first time by a French pilot but I think they will fly topcover with the Buchon .. safety first one MeierMotors Focke Wulf in the States is enough .

I will never forget Marc Mathis after the maidenflight with Jerry Yagens fighter. I asked him "Marc, how was it ?" and he said "boaring, no Spitfires around to play with"

..... some engine and breaktests with the Ex-Kindsvater Buchon D-FMVS. The WkNr 234 now belongs to the "air fighter academy GmbH" based upon the island Usefdom at Heringsdorf airfield. The investorfamily Schuelke has a impressive collection of warbirds, this is one of them under maintenance at MeierMotors

Here you can Elmar Meier doing some test after the 25hours inspection. A new breaksystem was installed and this needed also some testing

Sorry Matthias for giving this kid the satisfaction of a reply to his imature post. Guess my skin is a little thin today. Wonderful work on all the great planes at Meier Motors. very lucky owners.

The orig prop was a 4 blade British setup.
This has an American 3 bladed Ham Std with profiled blades to improve its look. Makes it appear more like the original.

No prob its a discussion forum. At first I was unlucky with that painting and I thought "uuups", thats not a Focke Wulf. A butcherbird must have been painted in RLM 74/75/76 and some 02 mottles.... but these days I sit on a bench nearby and looked at the fighter glazing in the sun ..... what should I say, its absolute fantastic. Its really something special and the painting shows the "bodyline" of the Tank-construction without disturbance.

And I thought, okay boy if such a ship is yours, which paint do you want ..... I am a purist in things like that. I thought okay, its not a ship like Allen´s A-5 ist a new airframe. An original Fw190 must (!) have a original coat (btw. I dont like the paintsheme of Allan´s A-5 very much but its original) A civil painting as those Mustangs in the 60ties, no way. I think I would paint it like the silver bird, but without the national markings. So it looks like a prototype. Perhaps on the underside the German registration placed as a the ferry-registrations in wartime, but I would paint it in silver... lean and clean, showing the powerful shape....

*hmmm I have to save some money and of course make a pilots licence ......... and then ?

I would buy the "Flying Nightmare" ! YIEHAAAAAA

With all that negative camber in the landing gear, how did they fight the natural tendancy for the wheels to toe in? I would think extreme stress on the landing gear struts? Did they rely on grass strips to allow slippage and not transmit that stress to the struts?

It is rather amazing to watch them 'bounce' down those landing strips in the old movie clips. Those struts always looked the most fragile to me. They used to always break on my models of these birds as well.
