Banaire has the special tools for the T-6 and BT-13 main struts:

Before I saw this, I bought the following tool:

http://www.shoprutlandtool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=84199&langId=-1

This one is similar as well from another manufacturer:

Haven't actually done it yet, but looks like the one I got should work fine.

Either of these should work the same. This is the kind of tool that Lance Aircraft recommended- although they recommended the Snap-On version which was considerably more expensive.

Thought some folks might be interested in this.

I have a DVD I made on how to reseal the landing gear on the T-6, should be basically the same for the 51 and BT-13 and other warbirds. The DVD covers the tools needed and goes from start to finish of a reseal. I sell the DVD for $20 plus shipping. Email me at N329DF@AOL.COM
