I just love how Wixers have their finger on the pulse of what matters to Americans. Whereas every media outlet has got it all wrong ... so of course nobody will be watching TV today ...

If we tried this in America, the 'opposing party' would launch a Congressional investigation, and half of the tax-payers in the country would be up in arms to impeach the President.

I only WISH we could pull something like this off.

:( You're exactly right- everything's a "zero sum" game in American politics today. At least we can enjoy non-political "heritage flights" at airshows without too much looney-tune howling about such stuff.

In the meantime, back to appreciating the BBMF flypast, William's skills as a SAR pilot and his obviously excellent taste in women... :drink3:

Yah, but we ensured the redcoats learned how to pack light and pack in a hurry. Incidentally, they have been packing up and leaving ever since! :o

I would like to think Wixers would have their finger on the pulse of what matters to Wixers, and by the very definition of this website it would be the BBMF flyover and not the royal wedding, or what media outlets have what right or wrong or what other Americans think or don't think. But from the posts in this thread and posts recently, I could be wrong.

BTW ... http://www.whogivesaflyingf*ckabouttheroyalwedding.com has all the coverage you could down with one bottle of vodka ...

Really ?

WWI, I'm not that well educated in it, but from what I can remember the tide had turned by the time the USA began participating, helped in shortening the war yes, but the allies would have one eventually without the USA.
WWII, where were you during the Battle of Britain ? thats when the possibility of the UK speaking German ended.

I'm sure it's all good-natured ribbing....but personally, the whole "Never in the field of human conflict has so much been owed by so many to so few" is one of the truest statements ever made. It's not just the British citizens that that applies to.

Nope! sorry! ... I'm not Greenwood, I'm just another old patriotic Wixer who could give a royal flying f*ck about the royal wedding. But I do give a warbird flying BBMF f*ck about the BBMF ... :butthead:

I read this today...hehe

Today, Kate Middleton achieved every young girl's dream: she married the balding, 28-year old son of divorced parents who lives at home.
