R.I.P. - Bill Reesman (Red Bull Mig-17)

Mon May 02, 2011 7:58 am

I heard about Bill's passing a couple weeks ago, but held off posting until I seen something about it on one of the forums and I just noticed it over on AirShow Buzz... I did confirm thru my friend - who was crewchief on the Mig for several years and he said Bill passed away on friday, April 15th... Bill always put on a awesome show in the Mig-17 and will be missed... My condolences to his wife Julie and the rest of his family... Blue Skies Always Bill...

Wasn't he a Thud pilot during the Vietnam War? I think I recall that being said during one of his demos.

He really knew had to move a MIG -17 around the sky.

(Hope I'm not getting pilots crossed)

Blue skies!

Tim

I remember when he brought the flaming MIG in at Aurora in early 94.
I also miss the YAK Attack airshow act with the Twin Beach (the YAK Herder)
and the 2 YAK-50s.
