This weekend is Chino's annual airshow. The theme this year is the Centennial of Naval Aviation, and, as always, they have a great line-up planned:

Here's a taster of what to expect, from last Wednesday's media day:

Hope to see some of you there, either at the show itself, or Friday night's WIX dinner

Looks to be a grand show, and it'll be my first Chino show - very much looking forward to it.

Mike and I aim to be there for the Friday night dinner - look forward to meeting up with any WIX members over the weekend.

One of the Tigercats is in a million pieces. They haven't wasted much time in busting it down (or removing the paint)

The one with the 55 on it is the former Kalamazoo TC.... Rod Lewis owns it (well, he owns a lot a of stuff, about 99% sure this is his)

There were at least 2 photoflights with O'Leary of Air Classics and the Frasca 190......

ATTENTION ALL CHINO AIRSHOW NEWBIES! If you've never been to he Chino airshow, let me give you some hard learned advise.Bring a lightweight folding chair.Standing in the sun for hours on end gets real old and you will be envious of everybody who brought a chair. Also prepare for it to be hot and dusty.Bring water,,sunscreen, hat. It can fool you as too how hot its gonna be.You show up in the morning and it will be overcast and chilly.so you have your sweater or jacket and figure "hey its not gonna be hot"around 11 the overcast burns off and the sun proceeds to kick your rear.remember your car will be a long hike so carry what you need from the get go. between the sun, dust, loud engines pounding your head ,you will be wupped by the end of the day.promise!
