Yes it did. I talked with a man that had ridden in it one time. He said the ejection seat was taken out, his back was against the back of the cockpit tub and the pilot's back was against him. He said it was not comfortable but it would be the only way he ever got an F-86 ride.

I doubt it will be replaced. The owners just operate the one aircraft, it has been talked about for some years that they were looking to dispose of it, and they never replaced their T-33 when it was destroyed in a crash a few years back.

It has been a real treat to see it being operated from Duxford for the past 20 years, though, especially when OFMC operated it with their MiG-15 in the 90s.

The F-86 temporary scheme was revealed fresh from painting on Friday.

I missed the taxi run in the morning because I was busy getting pix for the Mary Alice thread in the WIX Restoration Hangar ......

But I did get the 3 PM flypast of the F-86 and Buchon !

My pix are right here on WIX :D

I remember it sitting at the old Hughes Terminal in '81/'82 in the white and orange scheme. Nice to see it so original now.

A very blustery day with cloudy periods didn't diminish our hopes to see the F-86 displayed in it's temporary "tiger" scheme at the Spring Air Show at Duxford today

This was applied for Cliff Spink ~ the oldest former C.O. of the RAF's 74 ( Tiger ) Squadron for an appearance at the recent NATO Tiger Meet at Cambrai in France

With perfect synchronization ~ the clouds parted for about 90 seconds ~ just as the F-86 rolled in for a top side pass :D
