I went to the 15th annual Indianapolis Airshow today. Luckily the rain held off until the show ended, you could see it raining off in the distance much of the afternoon. We were down to 15 MPH on I-465 going home because it was raining so hard. Hopefully they have good weather tomorrow. A few planes didn't make it for various reasons but there was still a decent warbird lineup. After rumors last year of them possibly starting to get away from warbirds in favor of big name acts I was glad to see that there were a bunch.

Who's this guy celebrating flying his first show? Congrats man! (if only my camera would have focused quicker, his arms were both in the air less than a second before this taken)
Image

Might ask Dad about this... :D

My point and shoot camera has very little zoom capability so I don't have too many in flight shots worth posting.

The rest of my pictures are here, almost 200 of them.

Thank you for the fine photos WixerGreg! Indy Airsho was a "must-see" that I did not miss for many years. I wonder how many at the show got the significance of the "Bunker Hill" marked Texan? (Sorry if I am off on the Navy name for the Texan  ) Seeing people waiting in line to look inside Hot Stuff is always good to see as well!

And I had my head up my tushy for so many years thinking the month of May was about race cars. Cool photos, thanks. 8)

This was my first time going, and I definitely was not disappointed. Most of my pics are similar to Greg's so I'll spare the repetitiveness. Speaking of the gentleman celebrating his first airshow... :D

Chad- Nose art looked good from the air on Friday

Cool pic of the 3-ship of T-6's and me chasing them... Oh look, a Corsair is in there too!

The Motley Crue, Cuatros Amigos, Misfits, Huge Midgets.. Whatever you want to call them, I know I couldn't have shared my first airshow with a better group of guys! I'm on the wing, my dad Duane is on the Left, Tim Gillian in the middle, and Nathan Davis on the right...

Following my dad's footsteps (questionable judgement)

Pretty skies coming in, but nasty wx!

Time to get this thing outta here and back to the stable!
