how many phoney ebay or paypal emails do you get a week?? ?? i get at least 8 to 10, i forward them to
spoof@ebay.com or
spoof@paypal.com with out ever getting anything more than an automatic canned reply from both. i have begged for personal replies many times with no satisfaction. i feel both of their customer service departments & security departments woefully suck!!! they never get results, & frankly i think they don't care or are disorganized or don't have the resources to investigate the fraud as they say they do. as to the blithering idiots who repeatedly send these emails, they are relentless in trying to access or comprimise your account. i've even emailed the schmucks & cussed em out, & told them how dumb they are & to give it up already, but they always persist the dirty crooks!!!!

Possible new scam?
I've recently started to get emails, reportedly from eBay members, offering me a second chance to purchase an item that I've not even been bidding on and also from apparent eBay members requesting postage costs for items that I'm not even selling???
When the supplied link is clicked, it takes you to your 'My Ebay' Sign-in point at which point I close the page down, just in case it is a scam!
Guess the moral is Be Careful

Tom: I doubt that you will get a reply from a person. If what has hit our three email accounts is any indication, then they are being swamped with reports. I would be willing to bet that I've dumped at least 500 of those emails so far this year. I don't even bother to report them anymore simply due to the sheer volume. Between the ebay, paypal and bank account emails, I think they account for about 90% of what we get daily.

your right, but as a business owner full time i appreciate the personal touch as do most people. if they took that approach they'd have alot more happy repeat customers.

Beware of those second chance ebay schemes. A buddy of mine made the mistae of believing that he'd ben contacted by the seller of a bid he lost on a nice/expensive laptop PC. Having sent the money, he later found out he'd been scammed and took a total loss on it. And yup, just got another of those Paypal spoofs, along with the canned reply.........

dirty s.o.b.s!!! that's what i hate about ebay, they treat you like a number when your having a problem, they get you lost in their cyber spaghetti trying resolve the problem, etc, until you throw in the towel & eat the problem. been down that road many times. but lo & behold my billing statement for listing fees is always on time, & my credit card is always promptly tapped for the $$$ $$ i owe
