Undocumented crash site in Nevada?

Sun May 22, 2011 1:15 pm

I saw this article in the Reno paper yesterday.
I have no idea if the old crash site is military or civilian. I do have a problem with the finder digging up and gathering pieces of wreckage and possible human remains and taking them home.

I do hope they follow up on this story.

I noticed that they never showed any parts closer than 6 or 7 feet distance and @ a very low angle. The lead picture seems to be a LEAR component I.D. tag that curiously is shown upside down and with p/n msn not visable-I'm very skeptical until I see better, more detailed, close up pictures. And why hasn't the bone been taken to a coroner or pathologist to decide if it's human or animal?

Potential Crime scene, and should have not been tampered with regardless of his "knowledge".
Find, document location, report.
Better to have the feds tell you, yes, we are aware of if than to hear WTF are you doing taking components of a crash.
Bones?? What do ya mean bones?

Not to worry, he works for TIGHAR. It was part of the never ending quest for Amelia Earhart's crash site. A little off course, but while TIGHAR may not always be right in their theories, they are never wrong!

It would be my educated guess that this crash site is not " undocumented ".

In the case of catastrophic air crashes involving high performance aircraft, it is impossible for investigators and first responders to retrieve all human remains from a crash site.

I am sure some one on Nick Veronico's Wreck Chaser forum will ID this ac soon.

It looks like Craig Fuller figured it out.

Thank you for the info Tony.
It is nice to know that the bones that character is showing off are probably not human but an old coyote or something.
