OK, let's try some positive waves, rather than the axle wrapping going on.

As some may remember, we had a 'Most Valuable Poster' award to the person who was regarded by the members for making the most notable contribution to the board. IIRC, joint winners were Jack Cook and Gary Austin, the later much missed, the former still making a valued contribution.

So who and why would be your most valuable posters for the last year or so?

Take it away!

Taigh Ramey.

His thread on the saving and restoration of Tanker 101 reminded me of what's best about the warbird world. I catch myself coming back each day to see if there is an update.

Certainly Taigh gets one of my votes, too, given his knowledgeable input on lots of other topics, and his unassuming but quality presentation of that insight also. He's additionally been a great help on occasion off forum as well.

Franklyn - poster - that's a person, not a thread. Axle wrapping. Don't get wound around the axle. Have another go!

51fixer...Rich Palmer gets as many votes as I can give him! Wonderful job of not only showing the inner workings of so many warbirds, but how to fix them as well.

To be quite honest will all the sniping, bickering, shot taking, disharmony and large
amount of quality posters who have bailed I think the idea of WIX-MVP is sorta silly.
That certainly isn't ment to put anyone down just how I'm feeling. If you make a list
of all who don't post all or very rarely you may see my point. Brad and Chuck Gardner
come to mind has good examples. If you must maybe pick someone who's stuck it out
since day one here and has always been a strong contributer and who's posts
contain minimal HS.
I think the title should be Gary's alone and should be retired.
Flame suit on..............................

If we decide to vote instead of doing away with the whole idea then definitely Taigh Ramey....the whole salvage the Harpoon thing has been fascinating!

I think that Jack has the right idea, but James if you want to do an "honerable mention" either Taigh Ramey or Mustangdriver/Chris would get my vote. Both those guys bring a lot to this site.

It's the poster who created the thread (Nathan) ... last I heard he wasn't a thread but a poster which is usually something you pin to your wall, but I get the point your trying to make  .. And it's Franklin with an "i" not a "y" :!: ... A "y" would get wound around an axle easier I would think ... lol ... how's that for another go? :D

Seriously? Nathan is a good dude and you have to admit that one particular thread he started sure has had some strong airplay here on WIX. Taigh Ramey would be a close second.

The idea was meant to give us something positive to focus on instead of that.
