Thanks Mark V, that's the kind of info I was hoping someone could share.

I'd love to learn more about what those radar operators were doing in the aft compartment. Having sat in one, I can only imagine that held the potential for a wild ride.

The Skyraider had its fiirst flight in the new scheme last Friday, when Rod Dean took it to Duxford for a DA renewal.

He arrived at Duxford "unannounced" ~ but the practice display was superb !

I did manage to get a couple of fairly decent snaps though ..... :D

A friend rode in that compartment while filming scenes of Flight of the Intruder in HI.
A wild ride it is according to him.
His instamatic shots of blurred jungle, vapor off of the wings along with his narrative was cool.
