Monino Air Museum, Moscow, Russia - NEED INFO

Wed Jun 08, 2011 1:00 am

Headed to Moscow next week and was trying to find some info on visiting the Monino Air Museum.

Have any WIXers been there lately? Do you still have to make advance arrangements? What are the days and hours of operation?

All I was able to find was a website for the museum that hasn't been updated in years.....

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ask on the Flypast forum- one of the regulars there visits Russian Aviation museums regularly.

Hello Super
On 2 trips to Russia we have used Oleg to drive us around, he knows the military museums and I don't recommend driving in Russia. I also recommend the Central Army Museum and the Great Patriotic War Museum both well worth the visit. Oleg takes care of everything and speaks better English than most of us. Hope this helps you, feel free IM if you want more info. I highly recommend Oleg...a nice guy.
