Welcome to the WIX WW2John! I am also a long time "friend" of the USAF Museum and I try to get to the museum every 2 years if I can. You are totally correct about the dark conditions in the Cold War Building. It was the director's idea to make it that way. Each time I go I fill out a comment card on how dark it is there. Maybe if enough people do the same something will change. (I know what everyone is saying: dream on!) Heck, its even hard to appreciate the SR-71 because its so dark and the SR-71 is displayed on ground level! Things would be so much better if the ceiling was painted white!
