Stupid question but one i'd like to know about. Out of all the famous people in the world from actors to professional athletes, who actual owns their own personel warbird? The only person that i can think of is Tom Cruise and his P-51 mustang. Any others?

Jimmy Buffett has a Stearman in silver WWII markings, and David Gilmour of Pink Floyd fame, at one time owned P-51D 44-73339 'Comfortably Numb', named after the song.

Let's not forget a man who was in his day as famous as many movie stars, Paul Mantz.

Aaron Tippin has a Stearman, as did Steve McQueen.

I believe that one of the members of Pink Floyd owns, owned, a Mustang. Jimmy Stewart owned the P-51B(C?) named Thuderbird that was in the post war races. It was flown by Joe DeBona among others and won, I think, one of the cross country races.

Author Richard Bach had a P-51 (which he crashed) and a T-33.
Author Stephen Coonts (Flight of the Intruder, etc.) had a Stearman he wrote a book about...The Cannibal Queen.
Author Martin Cadin had a Spanish-built Ju-52.
Author Ernest K. Gann had a Bucker Jungmann (don't know whether his particular aircraft was ex-military but most were).

TV/radio personality Athur Godfrey had a DC-3 (don't know whether his particular aircraft was ex-military but many were).
British race car builder & driver (he finished 3rd overall at Le Mans), author, TV personality Alan de Cadenet has a Spitfire.

Howard Hughes had an A-20 and IIRC, a B-25.
Don't forget Jummy Buffet's Albatross. It's parked at his resturant, so I guess he still owns it.

What other aircraft does he have? Does he display his P51 much?

Alain de Cadinet used to operate a Spitfire on behalf of its owner (who was also a well known individual) but it was sold a few years ago.
I'm not aware that David Gilmour's Mustang carried the name Comfortably Numb in his ownership. Gilmour still owns a T6 and a Stearman ang used to have a Gnat, Yak50 Yak52 and Staggerwing.
Gary Numan used to have a Harvard.

That's correct. Terry gave it that name when he purchased it from Gilmour.
