Possibly referring to misfair where either the glass or the fuselage are bigger or smaller in circumference and/or edge waviness which would leave gaps between the fuselage and glass, and concerns as to whether or not sanding to flatten the attach area might cause the part to misfair-just a guess based on my concerns over the same issues.

I havent had any problems with it so far, seems to lay down like it should so far. I do plan on adding the bracing. The best idea that I've come up with is to glue styrene strips to the side of the gun emplcement then just run them into the fuselage let them stay in place by tension. Hard to explain what I mean.

If you can find pics of the real belle at afm.there are plates mounted to sta 1 that the braces bolt to for the added detail.

Right, not hard to scratch build that. The nose cones are just the clear parts with the gun mount, not all the bracing.

Awesome, you'll be happy with what you get. I was bugging him to make this kit for a while.

yeah, he didnt want to do it even though he said he'd been thinking about it for a while, I guess I bugged him enough. He did want to do what I originally suggested though, maybe to big a project. I wanted to do a complete nose replacement, and the nose cones that he did.

I'll take what I can get. I've done one G to F nose swap already and have another one waiting.

That would make for a sweet dio.

I say good luck on getting the monogram props, not easy to come by with out geting the whole kits.
I do the same thing though. This one is my first G to F surgery, she is the monogram G with the revell F nose. Here:
Image

If you'll notice, she has the flat F style top turret. The revell F turret glass part fits perfectly on the G turret. So you get the F turret with the better looking guns and they can elevate.
Image

I'm not a fan of the revell F at all, except for the fact that is an F. There is no detail inside, the props suck, engines suck etc.... The only thing I like better is the tail wheel set up.

This is the next G to F, this one is gonna have the bulged cheeks from the new koster kit.

You could.....look @ Second Air Forces instructional post in this part of the site about making resin cast parts, and cast your own props in resin, that way you could use 1 good prop and make a thousand replicas for very little cash outlay-

I have been in touch with 2nd AF about just that thing. If you care about the difference in station 1 between the F and the G I can help.I have made the real bulkheads and the model is wrong on both accounts. There are flanged holes in the lower section of the frame. The floor is also lower at frame 1 as well on the F model than the G.
