And I wonder when was the last time a P-40F and P-36 flew together - if ever?

Looks like a vintage year for Leg Ends.

A question: How are most attendees responding to the P-38? Grumbles over a non-combat paint scheme, or do they seem to be appreciating it as a YP-38 look-alike?

It seem to be divided between ~ it's drop dead gorgeous and that looks "wrong".

Given how much it must have cost the owner to have it restored to this standard ~

This is brave new technology for me.
Here's the re-enactors with the clearest view I could get of them.

Below are two AVi VIDEO CLIPS of some of my favourite moments at Duxford.
Sorry for the fence and shoe tops at the end of the fly-by... And I am disappointed at the audio on the start-up. I think the howling wind had something to do with it.

But it was way cool audio on the fly-by until I turned the camera into the wind.
The only other time I saw Lefty Gardner's WHITE LIGHTNIN' fly was by accident.
I walked out of work in about '78 or 79, heard something interesting, looked up- and in the ONLY hole in an overcast sky what should fly by but a P-38 painted White with red trim.

There is ALSO a deep Duxford-CAF connexion. I have seen the picture of Loyd and Lefty dressed up in Luftwaffe uniforms for their flying appearances in Battle of Britain!
