Ouch! Although it does seem odd he would go through the effort to register something he has been in posession of for some time which he was intending to scrap.

That is what I was thinking at first, but I thought the FAA was catching up on the expired registrations and turning them into cancellations. I don't think they would be registering something unless they were prompted to by the owner.

Man, can't that Neptune be saved? Are there any flying Neptunes right now flying as warbirds?

In Australia two Neptunes are flying as warbirds. I saved the first one [former RAAF A89-273] from the scrapper in 1978. The second came from the fire dump in Tahiti and is ex-French Navy. It was rescued by HARS who now operate both,,,,,, :drink3: check out their website.
