Just thinking about this from the marketing side, what has Lucas almost always done when a movie of his has come out? Merchandise. I'll be very intrigued to what we see come out, even maybe this Christmas.

Does anyone know if this will be coming out in 3-D? I have to think that would be pretty cool and George Lucas would hopefully be one of a very few directors who could pull it off without being gimmicky.

I believe that 3D has turned out to be something of a flop for the film business, financially, at least in terms of return on investment. It's the proverbial answer to the question nobody asked.

I noticed on a commercial for some new 3-D horror flick, they mention it's also in 2-D. Hopefully that marks the beginning of the end of the fad. I've been staying away from the theater specifically because of 3-D. It's extremely uncomfortable trying to wear those clunky glasses over my regular ones, and the fact that I have bifocals makes it a pain to watch anyway. Of course, movies are aimed at a younger demographic, most of whom don't need glasses (yet.)

I only brought it up because the vast majority of 3-D movies that have been released (at least the good ones) heavily feature flying whether it's airplanes, dragons, owls, balloons or whatever.

Maybe I missed the trailer link being posted? Here it is again if so. HD too.

http://www.onlinemovietrailer.info/2011 ... ailer.html

Funny that the beginning Mustangs that are leaving the bombers have basically 31st FG markings without the tail stripes. It is a shame that they go from P-40s straight to D Mustangs. Overall it looks pretty good though and so far, better than the HBO version.

I'm looking forward to the merchandising too. Although I already have 3 red tail Mustangs, so I don't need any more, but I can always buy some for my son!

Should be interesting.

I've heard that he'll redo Episode 1 with F-4, a new Phantom Menace.
