The format and copy is much closer to the Warbirds Worldwide series of magazines. I think you would find Warbirds Digest much higher quality than Warbirds and Air Classics.

There is a focus on the restorations activities, warbird operations, histories of the individual airframes (not the same old rehashed histories of types like the P-51 that get printed over, and over, and over...).

In short Warbirds Digest the best magazine out there for which the focus is just on the Warbirds.

Having said all this I must declare that someone may consider I am a little biased. I contributed my very first article to Warbird Digest and it went to print in the last issue. Hopefully more to come in the future.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Tim,

I might be the only one but my copy was a little crunched when delivered. Just passing it along. So far a great read. I really enjoy reading about the P-51C restoration and everything related to jigs and forming.

Hi Patrick-

If you call Melanie at our office, she will make arrangements to send you a new copy.

Tim, I'm just getting around to renewing my subscription to your excellent Mag....Can I pick it up at #5 with renewal or do I need to renew like it says with #6 and back order #5? Again, I love the format, pics and articles. :D Tailwinds, Steve.

Hi Steve-

Our supplies are so low on #5 that the only way to receive it is as a backorder. Also, we send our mailing information for #6 to the printer this week, so time is of the essence for a renewal to start with #6.
