Which is the name of this part

Mon Sep 26, 2011 11:03 am

Hello
I need some help. Which is the name in english of the attach in the red circle used to fix a radio on its mounting shock :D
I think also that there are different size? ie the one needed for the BC-375 seems to be bigger than the one on the SCR-274 transmitters or receivers
Thanks in advance

PS: If you know also the name of a store selling that part....?

Sorry Patrick....long night at work and I misread the time stamp as being a p.m. instead of an a.m. Glad you found a source. I was going to look at some of our drawings at work when I went in tonight and see who our supplier was.

Hi
I got the name : snapslide fastener (impossible to find for a french)
and it was also given a link to a supplier
http://www.allegiscorp.com/SearchCatalo ... +Fasteners

if it can help someone else :D

Now with the specification I need to find which are the ones needed for the mounting of the BC-375 transmitter

Hello Patrick – Inasmuch as the BC-375 transmitter and shock mount are secured by other means, I assume you are referring to snapslides up on the tube compartment cover (two) or below on one of the tuning units (four). Reviewing the dimensions on the site that I provided should yield a near substitute in terms of size. Finish is another matter. Wartime finishes likely differ in appearance from those currently available.

While tuning units complete with snapslides remain in good periodic supply, tube compartment covers do not. Substituting fasteners from a spare tuning unit, or a direct replacement of all six fasteners to secure a match in appearance, would seem to be the options. - Adrian
