Speaking of Bill Greenwood. I talked to him this summer and asked about a ride. He asked how much I weighed. When I told him 250#, his reply can be summed up as..."No chance, Sundance." :(

It looks like we might change the dates.

Has their ever been a gathering of Spitfires this big in North America?

Sounds like a must see for Spitfire fans :D

Will need to get a few Spifire Veterans their for this, still quite a few in Ontario

Keep up the good work Mike. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. I also like the British theme that you are going with. That is quite different, for North America at least.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

As of now we have put things on hold for a few weeks to see if our dates will change.

From talking to Bill Greenwood, He said osh had five spits and one hurri in I think 1995? also I think he said the same number in NV one year for a gathering, They would be the largest in North America.

I have noticed that a couple of other shows are kind of doing the same thing, but with smaller numbers (Lancaster, 1-3 Spits, 1-2 Hurries)? I did not exspect this to be a popullar theme with other show organizers. :?

Please don't have it the first weekend in June (Reading PA)or the weekend after July 4th " the Holiday Weekend" (Geneseo NY). Both seem to be big WW2 Style airshow dates on the greater east coast.

I only say that because last June there were 3 major events on the same weekend, Very tough to decide which direction to go (first).
