IIRC Dago Red is not the world's fastest mustang, Red Baron is/was...

I knew this Guinees Book of Records would come in handy some day!

Dago Red, 15Km speed record holder - 517.056 mph (30 Sep 1983)

Red Baron, 3Km speed record holder - 499.059 (14 Aug 1979)

So, seems to me that Dago is indeed the world's fastest Mustang.

Except for the fact that isn't the 15km completely different from the 3KM and is done at a high altitude? The one that really counts when discussing this stuff is the 3KM. Correct me if I'm wrong. At any rate I'm sure Dago at this point is way quicker than the Red Baron....totally pointless to compare the two, different eras folks. That's like comparing the 1979 championship winning F1 Ferrari with the 2000 championship winning car and saying the latter is faster. Of course it is!

check out the current winning bidder's auction history..... what a joke!!! he hasn't bought anything but door knobs & miscellanious stuff. nothing over 50 bucks. i could be a high bidder any second, but try to collect the $$$$. i hate auction chain yankers!!! :x :finga: i'll be shocked if it's legitimate & the current leader completes the transaction.
