I've learned that in the early 1970s Texas Instruments operated an A-26 Invader as an airborne test bed (maybe this is old news to the Invader experts, but it's new news to me!). I was chatting with another ham on 20 meters this morning who flew aboard TI's Invader in 1973 while doing airborne testing of some kind of radar system. He said they flew out of Dallas Love Field, which makes sense because that's where TI based their rag-tag fleet of radial-engined relics for many years (at least two DC-3 types and a Convair 240 that I know of).

That Invader is currently flown on the air show circuit as Lady Liberty, and she has a WW2 combat record in the ETO.

Does anyone have any photos of this ship while under TI's ownership? (1972 thru 1977, from what I've read).

I know Texas Instruments owned this A-26 during the 70's.

I thought N9682C was used as a tanker from the late 60's until the CAF bought it around 1980.
