Old WW2 air speed indicator of the kind used in the F4U-1 Corsair; F6F Hellcat and the SBD dive bomber. It has the good look for a display. Embossed on the dial, behind the hands is: "BU Aero US Navy, U.S. Gauge Co., New York", with another number below that The data plate on the back has other specs. Condition is consistant with an old crash or just an old instrument. The glass is cracked; the dial has bubbled corrosion around the edges and has a couple of places where the black paint has flaked. The pitot and static line fittings are not with it. Top indicated speed is 450 kts. Needles are a little off zero and look to indicate about 208 kts. $100 plus $5 to help with the shipping. Thanks. (I also have one from a C-47/DC3 in a box somewhere. It is better condition and probably repairable to be used. If anyone is interested I will see if I can locate it. $60.00 plus $5 for postage on the C-47 gauge.)
