I think what I enjoy about studying this time period is the interesting mix of aircraft that were used.

From memory this is "The Blue Tail Fly", a Panther made up of the front of an anodized silver example mated with the rear from a standard glossy sea blue one.

Outstanding photos. It's amazing how sharp and vivid the colors are.

How 'bout some straight-winged F-84s? More F-86s, too! Maybe some Meteors? F-80s? In other words, let's see them kerosene-burners! 8)

I've always been amazed by the tremendous variety of aircraft used by all of the various combatants in Korea. Even some relatively obscure types saw action, such as the RB-45 Tornado. I once met a Tornado pilot who told me some hair-raising stories from his time flying recon in the Tornado in Korea, including being pursued and shot at by MiG 15s after accidentally (ahem) crossing the Yalu river.

I on the other hand want to see my love the corsair. More and more! Ground and pounding from a plane that was designed in 1939, that's what i want to see! Ok, I would love to see F-84's too! :drink3:
