I'll be in Baltimore this November. What's around that should turn the eye of the aviation lover? (besides being near Chesapeake Bay ;) )

cheers,

HAHA!!

There is a restored Liberty Ship in the Harbor. If you want a tour of a medical helicopter base let me know.

There is a ship museum in the harbor as well that has a WWII sub and some other ships.

FYI - Col. Rohr asked me to let you know that he sent you some suggestions via your flicker email account.

If you will have a car and will be there either on a Tuesday or Friday, maybe you can convince the guys on here who are involved with Jack's TBM project to let you drive up and visit. It's within a few hours and worth it. But you need to kindly ask them

Although not aviation related, the B&O Railroad Museum is well worth a visit http://www.borail.org

Don't know a Houston, d'you mean Lockheed Hudson?

Anyway, the Martin Baltimore was a medium bomber of some note in W.W.II American built but used in combat by the British and other Commonwealth nations in the Med / N Africa. It was a development of the Martin 167 Maryland family, themselves another forgotten bomber type, and both, sadly, extinct.

Full SP here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Baltimore

Much of my American geography came from learning US bombers!

Regards,
