I love this shot of #74. Did you use only available light? How much post-processing did you do? I've had alot of my work published in the last few years, it is a hobby. I've never taken any photography classes and have not mastered Photoshop, but I think I need to do both to improve my shooting.

Yes, available light. It's 1/30th, hand held, f/5.6, 70mm
RAW file processed with CS4, then Nik Silver Efex Pro 2.0 to convert to black and white

Stephen, it would be well worth your trouble to learn at least the basics of post processing in Photoshop. There are many tools and tricks that give that added "pop" to a picture, that transform it from "nice" to "wow".

There is a learning curve, but there are many books and web tutorials to help you through the learning process. Once you've started learning the program you'll never look back...

Thanks Neal. The local college has classes one can take in basic and advanced PS, if they offer it next semester I plan to take it. I like your pictures as well, one that stands out to me is from Reno '11- a shot of a Sea Fury (Argonaut I think) where you can see right into the cockpit. Very cool.
