I know this has been covered all over the net. Just looking for some quick answers, short and sweat.
BW-372 was recovered in Russia.
Since the a/c is Finnish, why didn't they get it and why does the US Navy have it?
Is the US Navy claiming they still remain owners of it from WWII, any wreck, any where, any planet?
Will the plane be restored/repainted or just preserved in an as-is condition?
Thanks,
Mike

Yes, they still claim that. However, that is not how they got the Buffalo.
They bought it from somebody who bought it in Russia.
The wreck was recovered in Russia, therefore, Russia controlled the fate of the aircraft, not Finland.
Dave's like describes this much better.

Dave's link is of the forum and on-going commentary...at times..
concerning BW-372. This link is Dan Ford's documentation of most aspects
of BW-372's long trip to Pensacola. The Saga of BW-372...
