Dan Dugan invited me to go to the Salinas/California International Airshow a couple of weeks ago. That was three days of airplane heaven. I got to hang around with some very cool people and learned a lot. I actually know the answers to a couple of current topics here. I also actually know what Setter and some other cats must be thinking when they know stuff. Can't say a word, but I'm sure there will be some happy warbird folks around WIX real soon. I got to spend a lot of time around Chuck Wentworth. That was cool, and very enlightning, about everything that flies. The Canadian dudes let me crawl all over their Harvard II. Nice rig! Everyone was very nice and it was a great airshow.

When it was all done, Chuck and Gary agreed to fly out in formation for a photo op. Thank you Sirs! The video turned out great! I need to reprocess the pictures, but they should be cool too.

The pictures suck. I went to a different processor this time. The resolution on the cd they provided is ungood. I need to get me a negative scanner and do this myself.

Thanks again Dan! And thanks Chuck, Chuck, Gary and Greg.

Salinas is always a good show. "Executive Sweet" is based at my airport of choice, Camarillo, CA. And that T-28A is based at Santa Barbara Airport. That paint scheme is new, don't it look great! And I have always liked the paint scheme on Chuck's Corsair!

Thats good stuff, thanks for sharing!

Eric

Buchon is up for sale now...

Saw a USN marked silver T-28 with a yellow nose and empennage landing at Long Beach this afternoon. Anyone know whose it is?

I concur by the way, Chuck is a really nice guy!

OP, thanks for the photos..looks like your having a lot of fun! I did a
double-take on the VT-5 T-28 until I noted the #0068. I was at Hobby
last week getting some photos of Texas Raiders whereupon I ran across
another T-28C in Lexington colors Bu#140053, "Darl'n Dee".

Orvis,

As a note, saw Dan with his T-28 at the Travis AFB show yesterday. Said he got a last minute invite, when the shows scheduled T-28 had to back out...........
