During a recent trip to Azraq AB Jordan i found this , didnt get as close as i wouldve liked and the picture was taken from a moving car as the locals are a tad touchy about cameras .

Looks like a Mirage F1 and an F-104. Not sure what the lumps are to the right. Very cool. I didn't know the Jordanian's had any F-104's.

Cheers,
Richard

Jordan received 29 F-104A and four F-104B aircraft delivered under the Military Assistance Program in 1967. Controlled by the United States these aircraft were moved temporarily to Turkey during the Arab–Israeli Six-Day War. Replaced by the Northrop F-5 and Dassault Mirage F1 by 1983, the survivors serve as airfield decoys.

There are 10 F-104s and 1 ex Turk CF-104 on display in Jordan. I took some long distance shots of F-104A-15-LO cn 183-1059 56-0771, 918 "O" of 9 Sqn Royal Jordanian Air Force. The shots are poor but will post for the curious.

Interesting photos. I was based at Azraq for a few months in 2003. Looks like it ain't changed much.
