BTW...one other anecdote....

I was going to fly a cross country there a few weeks back in a 172SP. When following the NOTAMS to call ahead the unfriendly voice on the line asked me to go elsewhere and he could not authorize a landing there.

The Economist had an article a few weeks back about how Ohio had the third largest exodus of jobs in the US. If 172s can't land at Wilmington how are we ever going to be able to attract business there.

Keep up the great work Ohio! Just as with the 172 landing story if we try harder we can pass California and Michigan to become #1 in job exodus! :axe:

Try going to KSBN where they actually said, "I wish general aviation never had to come in here", or to Chicago where they just rip out the runway for no reason.

I'd call the local FSDO and ask just who made that clown the head of valet parking? Also I would, very sarcastically, ask if I could apply for dispensation to have permission to overfly Ohio. If that poor soul is overloaded with work perhaps someone else should replace that poor wornout person. I might also ask what exactly this individual would do if you had an emergency and NEEDED to land, would he dig out the twin 40 mount and shell you?
What a putz-

Not trying to nitpick, trying to understand. I looked up the current NOTAMs for KILN and didn't see anything out of the ordinary except maybe PPR for them to turn on the ALS. Was the NOTAM you're referring to rescinded?
