anybody seen my new article in warbirds international mag?

Tue Oct 18, 2005 9:32 am

has anybody seen my new article in the latest warbirds international magazine, november / december issue?? the topic was on warbird instruments, entitled "collecting warbird instruments, a guide on how to build an historically significant collection". i'm just curious as to feedback on it, my writing style, etc, as i was not a member of any warbird boards, when i wrote my other articles of years past. i thought this new thread could be of convenient use for me by viewing wixer's comments if you have read it. regardless of what we do whether it is painting, sports, etc, as a hobby or as a profession, we all have room to improve or hone our skills a little better. naturally postive comments are encouraged & hoped for, but so are constructive ones. if this is the case...... now please be gentle!!!! but also don't be affraid to tell me my work should be read in the bathroom, or lining your canary's cage!! i promise i won't :Hangman: but i definetely will either :drinkers: drowned my sorrows, or have a cold one in celebration!!! thanks friends, tom friedman

I don't normally buy Warbird International. I found it to be a little took "recipe" like in the past. I will make a point of picking up this issue and getting back to you. I am sure your work is stellar!

An absolute scale...

Tom,
If it had a reference to my website, then it was a well written and thought provoking article. If it didn't, it was unmitigated trash which should be held forth as an example of the failure of modern education to teach people how to write...
Congratulations on your publication- how do I get a copy of the magazine? Where do they sell it?

No! Don't encourage people to collect instruments until my T-6 is done!!!!

Besides, old instruments cause cancer, bad breath, and genital warts.

thanks for the words of encouragement guys!! warbirds international is published by challenge publications, who also publishes air classics, among other mags. any large book store, or hobby shop should have warbirds int., or hit their website & order it on line. i'm waiting with shortness of breath ........ because if i find out that i'm being graded on my spelling or grammar or punctuation from colonel rohr, i'll be mentally scarred for life!!!! & then there will be nothing left other than..... :nuker: kidding robb.. kidding!!

Only large chain store that it's been seen at, at least here in LA is Barnes and Noble.

Hi Tom

You Brazen Hussy - fancy self promoting your article - anybody seen mine in the latest Flypast on Wangarratta - No doubt it is a fantastic literary work and on a topic that interests me a lot . Instruments are a little part I can collect without much trouble at present so I take quite an interest in them

Well Done and Congrats of being published !! I look forward to reading it

John

I just got my issue in the mail today. I saw your article while thumbing thru it earlier. I plan to read it tonight. Maybe it'll help me sleep better after Albert Puhols and the rest of the Cardinals worked me over last night late....I'll give you a critique. Regards, Tom

Tom

Funnily enough it is hard to get that Mag here in Aus but my wife - the Warbird fan gets it in Manilla (where she is working for three years) at the same time as the Yanks get it so she sends it to me - complex but it works !!!

Kindest regards
