Awesome footage of Mosquitos and Spitfires

Found this video by accident today. Some of the most realistic CGI flying sequences I've ever seen.

Very cool. I saw an advertisement yesterday on t.v. about a new movie coming out called Red Tails. Did anyone else see this? From what was shown in the preview it looks like it will be a decent movie. :drink3:

Quite a nice article on the TUSKEEGE AIRMEN in Africa and Italy in the new Feb. 2012 FLIGHT JOURNAL including lots of shots of INA MAE and a couple rare colorshots of 332nd aircraft in theatre.
The CGI looks pretty good, in that clip with the MOSSIES and SPITS, why do the flying shots sound like the WARNER 755s on the CESSNA BOBCAT 'Song bird' from SKY KING?

This clip has been floating around for 4-5 years at least.

It is amazingly good in relation to what you usually see from Hollywood or other movie industries.

Now consider this...the young man that created it was only in his mid teens when he did it if I remember correctly!!!!!

I used to have his website and I'll see if I can find it as he did several other aircraft as well.

It's called 'Merlins' and one of a number of short CGI films by a chap going by the name 'Tochy' The website's in Japanese, but there's more films here: http://www.k4.dion.ne.jp/~suppon/

Some are more convincing than others, but the Merlins one is probably the best.
