Thanks for the info! I stayed outside of town back toward the Museum.

I spent almost a full day at the Museum and still barely saw it all. Wish I had more time to look at all of the different exhibits.

Ha ha! Sounds very like our experience - like a lot of travel amusing in retrospect, but stressful and frustrating at the time. I had to leave before closing because the taxi guy would only come at the time that suited him. Mrs JDK was at the gate holding onto the taxi while I walked out backwards taking pics...

Thanks for the recommendation for the B&B - last time we stayed in Rome, and made a day trip of it. Good to have a 'local'.

This is the Brancciano town square with the castle behind. The warbird connection is that the green rotunda is the tourist information where we (just) managed to arrange for the taxi, and the return trip - with much negotiation.
