2012 and beyond... need some help

Tue Dec 13, 2011 9:24 am

It's hard to believe that the site is in it's 16th year of operation. That really blows me away. The support I have received, both emotionally and financially has been tremendous and I am humbled that so many people appreciate what we do here. And I have to thank the mods, especially Zane. Without them I wouldn't have the time to work on the rest of the site and as you can see from the http://www.warbirdsresourcegroup.org/whatsnew.html file, since the new mods have come on board a lot of updates have been made possible. So thank you mods, and thanks to all the WIX members for making this community possible.

Onward to 2012...
I have been collecting data for a decade or more on certain subjects and I will be adding this to the site in 2012. I would like to ask for help with some of this from the community. Below is a list of subjects that I will need pictures for, if you have one or take a picture of one of these items during your travels I would appreciate it. You can send any pictures, as usual, to submit@123456789warbirdregistry.org (remove the 123456789). Thanks.

All these subjects pertain to items used from 1920-1960.
Ammunition pictures - If it was fired from an aircraft, I need a picture of it.
Weapon pictures - If it was used in an aircraft I need a picture of it, both in and out of the mounts if possible.
Engine pictures - If it made a plane go from 1920-1960 I need a picture of it, either in the aircraft or out of it.
Gun sites - yup, need pictures
Gun Mounts and turrets - If it held a gun... you guessed it. I need a picture.

Also, If you would like to help update a section in the registry let me know. Pat Carry and Martin Keenan have been an immense help in this regard.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Scott, feel free to use any of the images in my B-32 Turret thread. I can also send you (via CD) the originals. They're much too big to send via e-mail.

Hey Scott, The B-17 registry is coming along nicely I see. I'm looking forward to the rest of it. I'm sure you saw the info I updated regarding the P-47 and the B-29.
