TZ-138 Spitfire FR-Mk XIV?

Wed Oct 19, 2005 3:22 pm

Does anyone know much about the current status of the TZ-138 Spitfire FR-Mk XIV c/r C-GPST owned by Robert Jens of Richmond BC Canada. It looks like the civilian reg is still current but I don't think I have seen any pictures of the aircraft being flown anywhere...I am guessing that she is still kept/stored at Vancouver International Airport.

According to the recent Aeroplane Monthly, she's regularly ground-run and taxied, but hasn't flown for about three years.

Sad to not see her airborne somewhere, but good to see that she is in good health.

From the man himself.....

From the man himself.....

Robert Jens himself told me about 6 months ago exactly what DaDazMan said. Yup it has not flown since he got it.

He was planning for a couple of tied down engine runs a full power for this summer. I do not know if these happened.

What I am hoping to see eventually is his Mossie :D
