Just wondering as I have been eyeballing mine lately, wondering how yours came out and how you did the interior?
Thanx.

Hi Steve. I did get it finished. I will post some pics this week. I think it came out pretty cool. IT was my first time working with after market detail kits and brass.

as are we all!!! :o

Would love to see as the last time I built one of these was in the late 70's and it was covered in glue fingerprints on the clear plastic portion.

Many thanks!

I think it is a great kit. The monogram b-17 is a winner straight out of the box. It still holds it's own even against modern kits. The thing I like about it is you can keep going as far as you want with details. The only issue I have with the clear kit, is that when you place the clear part of the fuselage on, it makes it tough to see some of the details. That being said it is needed to protect the model and get the wings and things on for the left side. I will through some photos up this week.

Working on getting some good pics. Oddly enough the clear portion of the aircraft makes it a challenge to get good pics.

We want photos like this...., Wish I could claim them, but they are not mine. There is a 1:48th B-17 Build contest going on on another site I frequent. Amazing, amazing stuff.

Cool! Built straight from the box?, with some added detail(what, where?) ammo belts too!
Looks like some homemade maps for the navigator!
Looks funny with only one bomb bay door open.
Thanks for sharing! :D :D

Very nicely done :D love the extra and subtle extra detailing. I always wondered why no one offers a CHEYANNE tail position it would really open up the possible aircraft that could be modelled including possible post war aircraft including tankers.
