What do you call 10,000 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean?

Answer: A GOOD START!

My dad AND my mom are BOTH lawyers. Sons of...(lawyers) know all the good lawyer jokes.

My personal favorite is: "What's the difference between a lawyer and a catfish?"

Of course, back to the original subject here, what can we do to prevent something like this from ever happening again? If we can figure out an answer to that, warbird restoration will really become a growth industry and stimulate the economy, etc!

Gentlemen: Thanks for the kind words of support. As for P-2 parts, the gentleman who bought the aircraft took the parts in 2006 - so I am informed. Frankly, we had hope dto take them to a museum but ran out of time. We are cleaning out our "bone yard" this Spring, so, we might be in a position to list some parts for sale. (Frankly, I do not yet know what we have there fully as I write this note.) Stay tuned.

Regards,

Britt

Hello, here are images taken by mr. Carlos Valle last Sunday, at Carriel Sur airfield. As you can see, Tanker 03 is still alive but stored in the open, some items missing and it seems unlikely it will fly again after many years parked there.

This is the first time I've seen this thread. Glad to see Mr Gourley gave us the facts, but I still can't believe that this could happen in today's warbird world. 50 years from now enthusiasts will be shaking their heads about these scrapped P2Vs in the same manner that WWII fighters were simply tossed away after the war.

We have no B-32s today because of this kind of thing. I wonder, couldn't have these airplanes been towed to another part of the airport on "someone elses" property to avoid this?

Chappie,
Sure this could have been advoided if a lawyer didn't think he was above the law..... That's okay it still costed him some money. Maybe he should have tried to sell some of the parts in the bone yard, instead of sending it to the scrap yard. Just another reason he should have never been in the aviation business.
