How many C/KC-97 type aircraft are still around?
flying or not, partail airframes or whole.

i saw one in El-Passo in 1990 at an airshow, i was wondering if anyone knew which one it was, or had a picture of that aircraft? (from 1990 or not, it's ok)

-edit-

i forgott about the Registry here, but i am wondering is they any that might not be listed?

-edit #2- change thread title to include all C-97 types.

What about the 'saw a lady in half' C-97/377 Clay Lacey was working on in Wyoming?

Dyess has one.
Beale has one.
SAC Museum has one.
The MAC museum has one...
There is one in wisconsin and IIRC, Oregon...and I'm sure a few others.

And a couple of Guppy's around.

Clay Lacey's is going to the Seattle MoF

Im sure this may have been asked before. But how come someone hasn't tried to pick up one of the ones from the photos in Greybull? or the PBY4's for that matter?

Interesting that 25% of the VC-97's survive. Only 4 converted 1 YC-97A, 2 VC-97A, and 1 YC-97B (later changed to C-97D)

Perhaps the creator of that list needs to take another look. It shows one at the Florence Air Museum. That place has been closed for what, 15 years?
