Be careful about posting videos on YouTube. One of mine was copied and reuploaded on YouTube without my consent.

Yup, too easy with photos and videos for folks to download them and steal your work. Watermarking only makes it more challenging for them, but it is not 100% effective.

The guy who built my computer told me to stay away from those "social network" sites. ie Youtube, Twitter, and Facebook as it's not difficult for an accomplished hacker to steal personal info.

I've had this happen a few times, I had to have one blocked which pissed the guy off.

A rule of thumb to follow - anything you post, publish, or make available on the internet becomes public property. (Not from a legal standpoint, but from a practical one) If you don't want it copied or reused, don't put it out there!

And yes, social network sites are the biggest source of ID theft around, not to mention the biggest source of virus infections.
