A place where restoration project-type threads can go to avoid falling off the main page in the WIX hangar. Feel free to start threads on Restoration projects and/or warbird maintenance here. Named in memoriam for Gary Austin, a good friend of the site and known as RetroAviation here. He will be sorely missed.

Are we all pretty much in agreement that this was out of a Bearcat?

My vote would be a Bearcat.

The steep angle of the glazing is the tip-off here. Any Bearcat folks here that could add in their two cents.. although I would imagine any resto would have definitely taken this 'boat anchor' out of the cockpit.
Thanks for playing.., it was fun!

Here is some pix ans measurements of a local Bear.
Measure yours and see if it is approximately 11x13ish?
I could take some of a Wildcat but it is a lot narrower so don't think its it.
This one is not original but most armored glass is still used these days if its not to badly de-laminated.
See what you think?

Thanks for all of the input! I think the close ups of the Bearcat windshield is enough evidence for me.
