Found on you tube a great selection of films from 1950-70s covering US and other countries aviation events and documentaries.

Could easily spend a few hours sorting through this list... well i did already and...... learnt a few interesting things.

-Anyone recall the name of the early days TV program that dealt with the Air Force during WW@ and had Gen. George Kenny doing the intro piece every week?

I also remember NAVY LOG and Victory at Sea from early TV. The background music for every weekly VAS was especially written for that particular episode by Richard Rogers.

With a bit of digging you can watch every episode of SKY KING online (as a kid, I couldn't wait for Noon Sundays)

If I remember correctly the show was called "Flight". Not a bad series from what I can recall. It played on television in Australia during the early 1960's usually on a Sunday afternoon. It was staple viewing for me as a boy together with other classics such as "The Man and the Challenge" with George Nader and "Man Into Space" with William Lundigan. There was also "Whirlibirds"; "The Blue Angels" and a show which featured a squadron of F106 Delta Darts and for the life of me I can't remember the title of that one. Of course the real biggy was the series "Jet Jackson" which I think went under the name "Captain Midnight" in America.

I'm getting all nostalgic.

There was Steve Canyon and I watched Capt. Midnight too, really dug his batwebbed wing X-1. Still have my first school lunch box, 'TOM CORBETT, SPACE CADET' it now holds loose nails and tacks out in my work shed, hard to believe it'll soon be 60 years old.
